etc... Thrift Store is an upscale resale shop where a wide variety of "gently used" items are offered for sale - including clothing, accessories, furniture, household items, sporting goods, books, toys, jewelry, home decor, and seasonal items - to name just a few.

FAQ

Donations for etc can be brought to the rear door of the store, which is located at 1650 US Highway 41, Suite D in Schererville. The back door of etc is marked with a sign. Please press the buzzer by the door, and someone will come to receive your donation. Please wait until someone comes to collect your donation; do not simply leave items outside the door.

Please package smaller items (clothing, decor, books, etc.) in containers that you no longer need. We welcome old storage totes and boxes, but will gladly accept merchandise packed in garbage bags or other disposable containers, as well. etc cannot supply containers for your donations nor can we return your containers once your donation has been made.

Donations may be made Monday thru Saturday, from  10 am to 3 pm.

Please ring the buzzer, and an attendant will assist you.

Large items that cannot be transported in a family vehicle are eligible for pick-up by the etc truck. Call the store at (219) 865-5400 to arrange for a pick-up time.

Yes, since etc is a registered 501(c)(3) organization, donations made to the resale shop are tax deductible.

Yes, at your request, we will gladly provide you with a signed receipt on which you can itemize your donation.
